Patient Participation Group

Who is this group?

The Bursted Wood Surgery Patient Participation Group is made up of patients of the surgery who are working along with the practice to improve surgery services for the mutual benefit of all.

This is a self-funding group and all patients are welcome to be a part of it.

Please note this is not a complaint forum , individual complaints will not be discussed during these meetings all complaints must be directed straight to the practice manager during working hours.

The group is very newly formed and they have  been working on the patient questionnaire which you will find in the waiting room. This is important for them and the surgery as we cannot help improve services if we do not get feedback from our patients so please take time to complete one which can be sent back by freepost if you do not have time to fill it in at the surgery.

Future plans:

We hope that  the group will be able to provide health promotion events at the surgery to support some of the patients who are on our at risk or long term disease registers.

We have already had a tea /coffee afternoon at the surgery to help support some of our patients during a difficult two years which was very successful and  we are now  looking to provide walking groups and tea/coffee mornings for our patients on a regular basis.

If you have any suggestions for future events or would like to become involved with the group, big or small, please let them know,  any  ideas are always welcome.

How to contact them:

The group have a post box in the hallway at the surgery and even PPG notepaper in reception for you to write on. Alternatively, you can write to them at the surgery and we will pop it in the box for you.
